What do I need to provide my carer with?
Before care commences you will be provided with Terms & Conditions which includes important information you should read. Some useful bits of information are also provided here for reference.
Food
Of course, the carer will need to be supplied with ample food whilst living with the client which we say is to the value of a minimum of £35 a week. Typically, the carer will enjoy meal times with the client and eat the same food, however reasonable consideration must be given to any special dietary requirements.
Internet
You must provide the carer with access to any existing internet connection you have at your home. If you ask the Carer to use your telephone or internet connection, or agree to such use, or the carer must use them in an emergency, we will not be responsible for any costs incurred.
Bedroom
You must provide a suitably furnished bedroom for the carer, and access to a bathroom and toilet facilities. You must also provide sufficient clean bedding for them. The carer’s bedroom must be for their sole use, and you must respect their privacy and the personal nature of their property.
Supervision
We are legally required to supervise the carer during the provision of services to you. In order that we can do so, you need to agree that our care management team may visit your home to supervise the carer.
