How do you manage my care?
We place great importance on providing our clients and their families with a local, fully regulated home care service through which we fully employ, train and support our carers, taking full responsibility for the quality of our care.
Local care management team
Your care is managed by an expert Home Care Manager and Home Care Coordinator based in your local office, allowing for exceptional levels of support for the client, their family and our carers.
Tailored care set up
We complete a detailed assessment of care needs and develop a tailored care plan with you and your family, including an initial discussion with your GP and working with any other health professionals involved.
Personally matched carers
We seek to appropriately match our carers to each client based on considerations such as personality, interests, skills and experience, and a huge amount of work goes into ensuring continuity of care.
Typically our hourly care clients are supported by 1-3 carers depending on the amount of care required (e.g. if support is required 7 days a week, morning and evening, it is not generally realistic to staff this with only 1 carer).
Our live-in care clients are supported by 2 carers rotating on a 1 or 2 week on / off basis. Carers may stay for longer periods to provide additional continuity, however we are careful to ensure that they get sufficient rest to sustain a high quality care service.
Initial review
We undertake an initial review of your care package after 4 weeks to review how the service is working and ensure you are happy.
Weekly live-in care support visits
Importantly, our local care management team visits our live-in care clients and home carers on a weekly basis to ensure the package is working well - this is a key differentiator vs. many national providers who are not always able to do this.
24/7 on-call support
Our carers benefit from an around the clock advice and guidance service, including emergency out-of-hours support.
Ongoing support and advice
Our local care management team undertakes regular monitoring of the care we provide in addition to the weekly support visits - this includes formal reviews at least every 6 months, annual feedback questionnaires and ongoing monitoring of any concerns, events or issues. We also invest a huge amount of time in training, supervising, developing and supporting our home carers which is key to enabling them to provide the highest quality care.
